2024, Terror from Amsterdam

2024-11-08, Amsterdam. After the match Ajax – Maccabi Tel Aviv, riots and violence broke out in the centre of Amsterdam. Israeli fans were reportedly attacked and chased by Pro-Hamas terrorists together with masked climate protesters. The communist mayor Halsema banned Ajax hooligans in their wish to protect Israeli fans. On social media, Israeli supporters are cornered, beaten and attacked.

Reports mention there were only 200 cops to prevent the riots. But pro-Hamas terrorists on scooters and taxi drivers informed themselves through Telegram groups and were away when the police arrived after attacking Israel fans. No Israeli was killed, 5 were wounded. No arrest were made during the hit-and-run action. The Dutch Justice minister says this violence is antisemitism.

Former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett speaks on X of a pogrom in Amsterdam. According to him, supporters from Israel have been hunted down “in several places” in the city. He adds that he wants the Dutch authorities to “act now” to prevent worse.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says he has been informed of a “very violent incident” against Israeli citizens in Amsterdam. He reported this in a statement to the Reuters news agency on Friday. Netanyahu reports that two planes have been sent to Amsterdam to pick up Israeli citizens due to the unrest. Medics are also on board, Israeli sources report on X. The operation is co-led by the Israeli Defence Forces and security services and is said to be in consultation with the Dutch authorities.

Dutch Prime Minister Schoof reported on X: I followed the reports from Amsterdam with horror. Completely unacceptable anti-Semitic attacks on Israelis. I am in close contact with all those involved. Just now in a call with Netanyahu emphasized that the perpetrators will be tracked down and prosecuted. It is now quiet in the capital.

The hit-and-run coincidence with the remembrance of the Kristallnacht was on November 7 in Amsterdam. The hit-and-run and the orchestrated Jew hunt illustrate the hate of Moroccan Muslims of the third generation in the Netherlands against Jews.

On November 9, 1938, Kristallnacht took place in Germany, an event that marked a turning point in the rise of Nazism and the persecution of the Jewish population. This infamous “Pogrom Night” was characterized by large-scale violence, with Jewish shops, synagogues, and homes destroyed. Thousands of Jews were murdered or arrested and sent to concentration camps. The name “Kristallnacht” refers to the broken glass windows of Jewish shops and the destruction that night brought.
